Rowlands Castle Open Gardens
The CASK Research Foundation is hosting an Open Gardens event in Rowlands Castle on Saturday, 28th June 2025. Ten gardens within walking distance of the village green will be open from 10am to 4pm.
Ticketing & pricing
Tickets are £6 standard or £5 early bird. Children under 12 receive free entry. Tickets can be obtained from Rowlands Castle Home Hardware — purchasers receive a guide book with map.
Activities & amenities
The Church on the Green serves as a central hub featuring:
- Plant and art sales
- Refreshments including tea, coffee, ice cream and cake
- A raffle offering prizes such as spa days, afternoon tea, M&S hampers and wellness packages
Visitor information
- Dogs are not permitted in gardens
- Cash is recommended for plant sales
- Public transport is the recommended arrival method
- Walking between gardens takes approximately 15 minutes downhill
- Limited parking available at the Recreation Ground, The Green, and Rowlands Castle Railway Station
- Toilets are located at three venues throughout the village
- All proceeds benefit the CASK Research Foundation
Accessibility & family activities
The event accommodates wheelchairs — three gardens fully accessible and four partially accessible. A children's heritage trail map is available for ages 5–11, featuring fun facts about village history.
Health & safety notes
Visitors are advised to check for ticks after the event due to high prevalence. Those with bee allergies should note that 23 Castle Road is "buzzing with wildlife".
